September 2006 marks the 5th anniversary of Bach and Beyond, and as we have grown, so has our desire to provide more performance opportunities to young musicians in the Chicago metro area.
In celebration of our anniversary, Bach and Beyond is pleased to announce its 1st Annual Young Artists Concerto Competition to be held on June 24th, 2006. The winner of the competition receives $150 and will be invited to perform with the Bach and Beyond orchestra at our 5th anniversary concert at the D.A.N.K. Haus German American Cultural Center.
The competion is open to piano, strings, woodwinds and brass students ages seven to twenty. All participants must submit a completed application and the $20 registration fee (checks only). Applications are due by June 15, 2006.
